中国人民大学“明德立言”第三届本科生英语写作大赛通知

为了深入贯彻党的二十大精神和习近平总书记在学校考察调研时重要讲话精神，落实学习贯彻习近平新时代中国特色社会主义思想主题教育部署要求，培养具有社会主义核心价值观和国际视野，服务于国家发展战略需求的新时代国际化青年人才，中国人民大学外国语学院在教务处的支持下现举办“明德立言”第三届本科生英语写作大赛，旨在提升我校本科生的英语书面沟通能力及关注社会的责任担当意识。

【参赛对象】

全校本科生

【大赛内容】

本次大赛以征文形式进行，征文题目自拟。

征文主题为：A Proposal to the National Youth Model CPPCC

China's youth in the new era advance with the times, adapt to the need to modernize China's system and capacity for governance, and set the pace in making social progress. They are following and advocating new, positive trends, using their expertise in economic, social, technological, and cultural fields to serve their country and fellow citizens. Some of them have submitted proposals to people's congresses or members of the Chinese People's Political Consultative Conference (CPPCC) at various levels, contributing their insights towards building a better future for the nation.

Suppose that you were to submit a proposal to the National Youth Model CPPCC, where your thoughts and ideas would be heard and considered. In that case, what would you propose?

Your proposal should concentrate on issues in one of the following three areas: education, culture, and environment. You should explicitly state the issue and propose strategies or actions to address this issue. Please ensure that your proposal is specific and feasible, and support your ideas with facts, statistics, or examples.

1.投稿截止时间：2022年5月17日

2.公布结果时间：2022年5月31日

【提交要求】

1．正文字数为800-1000词（不含参考文献）；

2．正文需有明确的题目；文末请标明作者联系方式（手机号及邮箱）；

3．正文使用新罗马字体 (Times New Roman) 小四号，单倍行距，段落首行缩进；

4．作品需以WORD文档（.doc或 .docx）附件提交；

5．文件命名方式：学院-姓名-学号（例如：外国语学院 王** 2020******）；

6．参赛选手应秉持诚信态度，保证作文为本人原创，不得抄袭，一经发现将取消参赛资格。

【评审标准】

所有参赛作品将由外国语学院从文章立意、组织结构及语言使用三个维度进行评审。

【奖项设置】

本次比赛共设置一等奖3名，二等奖6名，三等奖10名。所有获奖选手将获得证书及奖金。
