卢嫣美（Lauri Scheyer），芝加哥大学创意写作及英美文学博士，曾任英国卡迪夫大学创意写作中心和创意与批评写作研究室主任，贝德福德大学创意写作中心的创始主任，美国汉普顿大学创意写作中心主任，荣休于美国加州州立大学洛杉矶分校。现任湖南师范大学潇湘特聘教授、英语创意写作项目首席教授、英美诗歌中心主任。已出版9部著作，发表近100篇学术文章，获得美国图书奖、林肯奖等多个奖项或提名，并在多个国际文学期刊上发表诗歌作品。

讲座介绍

作为一个学术领域，创意写作在美国高等教育中早已体系化，人们对它的关注日盛。如同人文学科的许多其他领域一样，创意写作并不是一个具有单一概念、方法或目标的孤立学科。创意写作学科的日益多样化对当代美国文学有什么影响？创意写作如何影响文学风格、品味、价值和出版？或者说创意写作真的对这些领域有影响吗？本次讲座将探讨这些问题，审视创意写作的最新发展以及阅读和写作实践的当下潮流。

Creative writing has long been institutionalized as an academic field in American higher education and its popularity continues to grow. Yet, like many other academic fields in the humanities, creative writing is not a unitary discipline with a singular concept, approach, or set of goals. What has been the impact on contemporary American literature of the increasing diversity in the discipline of creative writing? How does creative writing influence literary styles, tastes, values, and publishing—or does it have an influence? These are the issues and questions that will be raised in this lecture which will examine recent developments in creative writing and current trends in reading and writing practices.
