The Research Center for Japanese Humanities and Social Sciences
Established in the year 2000, the Research Center for Japanese Humanities and Social Sciences is dedicated to the scholarly exploration of issues within Japanese humanities and social sciences. The center's membership primarily consists of faculty members of Japanese Department, supplemented by renowned domestic and international experts and scholars in Japanese studies. It coordinates with the Japanese Department to nurture the advancement of cultural exchanges between China and Japan and an amicable Sino-Japanese relation.
Since its establishment, the center has orchestrated a series of influential cultural exchange events and academic symposiums. Notable among these are the Japanese Cultural Festival, the Photo Exhibition on Sino-Japanese Friendly Exchange, the Japan High-Tech Exhibition, the Japan Poster Exhibition, the International Forum on Japan Cultural Industry, the International Symposium on Japan Animation Culture, the Sasakawa Cup Japanese Language and Culture Knowledge Competition for University Students in China, and the Performance of Japanese Rakugo in Beijing.
