Dean Béatrice Perez of the Faculty of Arts and Humanities of Sorbonne University Leads Delegation to Visit the School of Foreign Languages

On the morning of April 9, Béatrice Perez, Dean of the Faculty of Arts and Humanities of Sorbonne University (equivalent to Vice-Chancellor), led a delegation to visit the School of Foreign Languages of Renmin University of China. ZhouMing , the Vice Dean of the School of Foreign Languages, along with faculty representatives from the French Department, met with the delegation. The two parties held discussions on matters related to student exchanges, faculty exchanges, and the expansion of cooperation projects.
Zhou Ming warmly welcomed the delegation. He stated that ourschool has significant advantages in the teaching and research of foreign language literature, linguistics, area and country studies, and translation studies. The French Department of the school boasts strong faculty resources and has cultivated a large number of high-quality graduates. The school has constantly been proactive in expanding exchanges and cooperation with France, sending students to french universities for visiting studies every year, carrying out exchange and cooperation projects, and inviting renowned french experts and scholars to give lectures. Zhou Ming said, Sorbonne University is a well-known institution in France, with which our university maintains a close cooperative relationship. He hopes that the visit of the delegation will further expand the cooperation between our school and Sorbonne University and elevate the level of exchange between the two sides.
Béatrice Perez expressed her gratitude for the school's reception of the delegation. She mentioned that for a long time, Sorbonne University and Renmin University of China had engaged in fruitful cooperation. Sorbonne University possesses strong capabilities in the teaching and research of literature and linguistics, and has a multi-language discipline system. She hopes to refine the exchange framework with the Sino-French Institute and the School of Foreign Languages, so as to achieve complementary advantages and promote more achievements in bilateral cooperation.
