Jianhua WANG
Wang Jianhua, male, Professor, Doctor Supervisor, has been teaching at Peking University’s Foreign Language College since 2003. He was a visiting scholar at the Monterey International Institute from 2012 to 2013. He also participated in a short-term study program at Oxford University in 2015. From 2017 to 2019, he served as the Vice-President of Shanxi Normal University (temporary position). He is also a Vice-Chairman of the Language Cognition and Intelligent Development Committee of the Chinese Modernization Society of Linguistics, and Vice-Chairman of the Cognitive Translation Committee of China Association for Comparative Studies of English and Chinese. He was twice awarded “Excellent Secretary General of the Party Branches” at Peking University in 2012 and 2017. In 2015, he was awarded “Top Ten Head Instructor” at Peking University. In 2016, he was recognized as an “Advanced Worker” at Peking University. In 2019, he received the “Three Jins Talent” award.
His research interests include: Language and Translation Cognitive Research, Cultural Communication Research, and Discourse Research. In recent years, he has published dozens of papers in CSSCI journals such as Foreign Language Teaching and Research and Chinese Translation, seven books and three translations. He has presided over two projects approved by National Social Science Fund, one education ministry project, and one major research project at Renmin University of China.
